Cyber-show Windows Armadda & Again
TEXT & Photos by Armando Rozário
As I was sitting at a table in a shopping centre, having a glass of draught beer, I noticed a show-window decorator preparing to change the attire of male and female mannequins of two shops directly opposite where I was sitting.
I am going to give a brief description of the sequence of photos (10), which were taken within a period of about 15 minutes. I set my Nokia 6265 phone camera at 1600x1200, then pointed it at the whole façade of ARMADDA's show-windows. They was lit by spotlights, with daylight and tungsten reflector lamps, the balance of the lighting was good, so I snapped the shutter, and registered digitally five male mannequins who displayed informal sportswear for summer.
Right beside the shop which featured men's clothes, I noticed four female mannequins in the show-windows of AGAIN. The lighting was almost the same, but the arrangement for women's clothes was different. Without lifting from my table, I aimed my phone camera at the new target and clicked my second photo.
I then decided to get closer, so I stood up and walked a few feet towards one of the show-windows of ARMADDA and focused at the two different options which were being offered to shoppers for men's sportswear. You may notice a man with a yellow shirt in the background, he is Ítalo Trigo, a show-window decorator who was arranging the windows of the two shops which I had photographed on Thursday, the 26th. of October, 2006 in Macaé.
I then focused my Nokia at two female mannequins who displayed fashionable summer clothes for women. You may notice that the colour balance of the photos are quite accurate, look at the background and you'll notice a black & white poster, the white drawing on a black background appears clearly without any colour distortion!
The next shot focused the men's sportswear display again, I know focused on three male male mannequins who modeled different combinations of summer clothes. Besides clothes, sports shoes were also worn by the 'models'.
I moved over to the show-window of AGAIN and photographed two female mannequins wearing light colourful summer clothes. You may notice that women's shoes were also displyed.
In the four vertical shots, I decided to get closer to the female 'models' so that I could get better close-ups of the dresses which were being displayed. From this 'field-test' which was carried out by a tiny phone-camera, you may be able to see exactly what was being offered in Macaé last week. Men and women can now do their shopping in Macaé, without having to travel to Cabo Frio, Búzios or Rio.
Some shops in Macaé are offering good quality clothes, which are also well designed. The presentation in some shops have also improved a lot, ARMADDA & AGAIN are two good examples. After viewing our digital photo-essay, you may visit their websites: www.armadda.com.br & www.again.com.br. Two well designed Brazilian websites!
They also have shops in Rio Sul, Barrashopping, Petrópolis, Itaipava, Juiz de Fora, Cabo Frio & Macaé.
